How Our Brand Finally Caught Up to Our Business

For eight years, Smart Host Vacation Rentals quietly grew into one of the most trusted hospitality management companies in the Spokane area.

We onboarded beautiful homes.
We refined systems.
We built an incredible cleaning and operations team.
We strengthened owner relationships.
We learned — sometimes the hard way — what it really takes to create exceptional guest experiences.

But somewhere along the way, something became clear:

Our company was maturing faster than our brand.
While our visual branding communicated well what we do,
It didn’t communicate our values, our history, or what we stand for.

What began as a small vacation rental management business had evolved into something far more intentional, strategic, and refined—quickly. The need for services in the Spokane area was so much more than we could have hoped for! Then, one day while sitting with gratitude, we realized that our processes have become elevated. Our service standards were premium. Our owner partnerships were deeply relational. The name “Smart Host Vacation Rentals” represented what we do, but no longer fully captured who we had become.

Why Anchor?
The anchor meaning stretches beyond its literal application.

It represents something deeper.

An anchor has, for centuries, symbolized:

  • Stability in changing tides

  • Security in uncertain conditions

  • Steadiness when everything else feels in motion

  • Protection of something valuable

In hospitality, that symbolism matters.

Owners are entrusting us with one of their largest assets.
Guests are entrusting us with their vacations, their family memories, and their time away.

Where there is an anchor, people feel safe.
Where there is an anchor, there is trust.
Where there is an anchor, things feel steady, dignified, and handled.

That is what Anchor Hospitality Co. exists to provide.
